Photojournal: Old Sheung Wan (Part 2)

Sheung Wan (上環) was one of the earliest settlements of the British army in the 1840’s.  To this day, the district is home to many monuments of our collective past.  It was also a place where our founding father Dr. Sun Yat-sen (國父 孫中山), leader of the Xinhai Revolution (辛亥革命) in 1911 and founder of the Chinese republic, lived and was educated.  It was also where he planned the revolution to overthrow the Qing Dynasty and established the republic.  Few years ago, I walked the historical trail tracing back our history.
